  • Are you a licensed and insured moving company?

    Yes. Heavy Haulers is fully licensed and insured to operate across Nova Scotia. All moves are covered by basic insurance, and we offer additional protection on request.

  • What types of moving services do you offer?

    We handle residential moves, commercial relocations, apartment moves, long-distance moves, and labor-only services for loading or unloading.

  • Do you provide packing and unpacking services?

    Yes. We offer full-service packing and unpacking using high-quality materials. You can also choose partial packing or order packing supplies if you prefer to pack on your own.

  • How is pricing determined?

    We offer both flat-rate and hourly pricing depending on the job scope. Quotes are based on distance, size of the move, and any additional services requested. No hidden charges.

  • How far in advance should I book my move?

    Booking at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance is recommended, especially during weekends or month-end. However, we also accept short-notice moves based on availability.

  • Can you move large or specialty items (like pianos or safes)?

    Yes. We handle heavy and specialty items using proper equipment. Please inform us in advance so we can prepare accordingly.

  • Do you work on weekends or holidays?

    Yes. We operate 7 days a week, including holidays, subject to availability.

  • Is there a minimum number of hours for labor-only moving services?

    Yes. Labor-only services typically require a 2-hour minimum booking. Details will be provided during the estimate.

  • What happens if something is damaged during the move?

    We take every precaution to prevent damage. In case of any incident, we follow a formal claims process as per our insurance policy. Additional coverage is available.

  • Can I reschedule my move?

    Yes. You can reschedule with reasonable notice. Please contact us as soon as possible to confirm new dates and avoid potential rescheduling fees.

  • Do I need to be present during the move?

    We recommend someone be present at the origin and destination to confirm access, sign off on inventory, and provide instructions. If not possible, arrangements must be made in advance.
